Chennai: The Government of Tamil Nadu, headed by Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, on Monday implemented another significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and assigning more than 10 senior IAS officers to major departments.

The newest phase of transfers is part of the state administration’s continuing bureaucratic restructuring intended to reinforce governance and enhance coordination across vital sectors including municipal administration, water resources, energy, transport, rural development, and public works.

Senior IAS officer Gagandeep Singh Bedi has been designated as Additional Chief Secretary to the Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MAWS) Department, among the state’s most significant departments overseeing urban administration and water resource management.
